The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.


The year is the 1918, New Orleans, US.
The war is over, every one is celebrating...every one but one.
Mr Button, leader in buttons production industry, won't celebrate that night, because his wife is dead after her baby birth.

A strange baby.

Actually the movie starts with a different story, but I wont ruin it for you.

Anyway, the (quite) long movie "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" is certainly one of the best movie I saw in the last year. Well actually it is the one.Really interesting story, great actors, nice photography.

But anyway, here's a taste of the story...

Imagine to get born old, and to die young. You would say, AWESOME, but think about it better.
In a world were you are the freak, everyone will look at you in a strange way.
You are 10, you can't walk.
You are 15, you can't see really good.
You are 20, you start to have back you hair...you are not completely bold anymore.
And so on, until you are 90 are you wife has to rock you.

Strange case the Benjamin's one.

They could have make this movie as another stupid Hollywood production on the essence of life, and being good, and love people, and fine the right person,and stupid stuff like this, but they didn't.
They put in the movie the gypsy from The Snatch(great make up all along the movie by the way...), and they gave to him a hidden story to tell.
So what's this "between the lines" story: it is simply a curious question, curious has the Benjamin case... what's the death for us, how do we see it, how do we cope with that?

And imagine this: the narrator is a guy who has been told since he was a baby that he has few days left to live, who lives in a hospice, and that tells you the beauty of living, even if he can't pee anymore!

There are many others issues in this movie, good issues actually, which make this movie kind of original... But what's really original in all this is the curious case of Mr. Benjamin!
